US Town Hits Legal Snag Trying to Sell Confiscated Guns Back to Public

PITTSTON, Pennsylvania – Plans to sell weapons seized by the township's police department have been put on hold after concerns were raised by a deputy district attorney.
The township had placed a newspaper legal advertisement seeking bids from licensed firearms dealers for weapons seized by police through the years. Township Manager John Bonita said there are at least 24 firearms consisting of handguns, rifles and shotguns.
