Tennessee Lawmakers Push to Allow Hidden Handguns in Eateries, Bars

A revised guns-in-bars bill is moving through the state legislature, and if it passes this time, a legal challenge is less likely to follow.
The House budget subcommittee narrowly approved a bill Wednesday that would allow permit holders to carry guns into establishments serving alcohol.
Last year, the General Assembly passed a law allowing permit holders to take guns into places serving alcohol, provided the establishment's primary source of business was food.
