SAN FRANCISCO -- A barbecue held in memory of a man slain in 2007 ended in gunfire that killed one of those at the gathering, San Francisco police said Friday. Carley A. McFarland, 26, was shot at 6:40 p.m. Thursday in front of 19 Garlington Court in the Bayview, police said. He died later at San Francisco General Hospital.
