California Toddler's Shooting Death Points to Widespread US Problem

Wednesday's death of a Vacaville toddler, killed in what appears to be a tragic gun accident involving her 8-year-old brother, is a grim reminder of the need to keep guns out of children's reach.
Sadly, such accidents are not as rare as one would hope.
The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention reports that, during the first half of this decade, 173 children under the age of 19 were accidentally killed with a firearm. That equals three children every month — and... (GunPolicy.org)
