A tribunal has ruled it safe for a NSW miner to store firearms at his home, despite his son's criminal history and alleged threats to kill a police officer. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had challenged a decision by the NSW Police Commissioner forbidding him to possess or store firearms at his rural property or to use them in the presence of his adult son, who has a history of violence directed at his partner and family.
