US Police Chief Can't Avoid Charges in Machine Gun Death of 8yr-old Boy

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts — A judge has denied a former Massachusetts police chief's motion to dismiss some charges he's facing in connection with the death of an 8-year-old boy at a gun show.
Edward Fleury, who resigned as Pelham's chief in March, is charged with manslaughter and four counts of furnishing a machine gun to a minor in connection with the death of Christopher Bizilj of Ashford, Conn.
