Communities Vote to Opt Out of Tennessee's 'Guns OK in Parks' Law

Cities and counties in East Tennessee and across the state are just now coming to grips with a new law effective Sept. 1 that will allow citizens with handgun permits to carry guns in public parks.
A provision in the law allows cities and counties, after adoption of a resolution by the legislative body, to opt out of the provision and keep their parks free from guns.
