Washington 'Caves In' to Gun Lobby, Lifts Ban on 1,000 Handgun Types

D.C. police have adopted emergency regulations to greatly expand the models of handguns that District residents can own, a victory for opponents of gun control.
The changes mean District residents can legally obtain at least 1,000 additional types and models of handguns that had previously been banned. The changes, published today, are designed to keep the city compliant with last year's Supreme Court decision that overturned the city's long-standing ban on handguns.... (GunPolicy.org)
