A three-month gun amnesty in NSW has netted more than 4,300 weapons, including 3,000 rifles. NSW Police Minister Tony Kelly said the firearms amnesty, which ran from March 1 until May 31, had resulted in 4,323 firearms being handed in. Under the amnesty, those with a gun licence but unregistered weapons were able to register them.
