A three-month firearms amnesty has netted more than 1,100 guns in South Australia. More than 900 were single-barrel rifles and more than 100 shotguns were turned in. Some of the guns dated back to late 1800s and early 1900s. Police Chief Inspector Jim Langmead says a number of the guns handed in were unregistered or illegal.
