More than 120 illegal guns were handed into the Sturt police station during the recent gun amnesty. SA Police Firearms Branch Senior Sergeant Ian Caddy said 125 firearms, including a World War I anti-tank rifle, were handed in by members of the public. A further 30 guns were also seized by Sturt Police in Operation Secure which targeted illegal gun owners. Fifteen people were reported in the southwestern suburbs.
