Unregistered gun owners around NSW will be given a three-month amnesty to surrender or register their weapons without penalty from next Friday, NSW Premier Bob Carr told parliament today. As part of the government's so-called "Cabramatta strategy", the move was among a raft of new measures to fight crime and drugs to come into effect in the coming weeks, he said.
