Gun Amnesty Extended Another Year in Victoria

Victorians have been given one last chance to ensure unlicensed firearms were either handed in or registered or they could face jail or hefty fines.
Police Minister Andre Haermeyer said Victoria would extend its four-year firearms amnesty, due to finish on Wednesday, for another year.
Mr Haermeyer said the amnesty, established after the 1996 Port Arthur massacre in which 35 people died, had been a success with more than 34,000 firearms being licensed and... (GunPolicy.org)
