5,000 Guns Collected in Latest Firearm Amnesty in Victoria

About 5000 illegally held firearms have been handed in under the state gun amnesty that ends tomorrow.
A decision will be made then on whether to extend the amnesty.
A spokesman for Police Minister Bill McGrath yesterday confirmed no decision had been made.
But Premier Jeff Kennett said yesterday that extending it may be a waste of time.
