Licensed Canadian Gun Dealer Charged, 2,000 Guns Leaked to Gangs?
23 May 2009
Vancouver Province (British Columbia)
Almost 2,000 guns are unaccounted for as police investigate two Burnaby businesses they allege illegally distributed firearms that wound up in the hands of gangsters across Canada.
Police from numerous agencies have arrested five men in the probe of the hunting shop Royal Sportsman and camera-parts importer Merrica Trading Co.
Royal's firearms licence allowed the store to import weapons otherwise illegal for use in the film industry.
