Inspection of Licensed Kazakh Gun Owners Yields 747 Illegal Weapons

During the Karu (Weapon) operation, the police seized 747 weapons kept illegally by people in Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Interior Ministry's press service has said.
In particular, the police seized 49 rifled weapons, including 39 rifles and 4 pistols, as well as 547 smooth-bore weapons, including 98 "sawn-off shotguns", says a report issued by the press service today.
