A Kenner man has pleaded guilty to federal charges in the theft of guns from two gun shows, one in Kenner and the other near Slidell. Byron Chaplain, 46, faces up to 10 years in prison on each count of possessing stolen firearms. U.S. District Judge Lance Africk accepted his plea Thursday and scheduled sentencing for June 18. Police searched Chaplain's home at 1247 Roosevelt Blvd. on Oct. 28 and found more than 170 guns, including both stolen weapons. At the Great... (GunPolicy.org)
