A Calgary police officer who was accused of abusing a gun amnesty program pleaded guilty Tuesday to one charge of careless storage of a firearm. Dean Pankewicz, 43, was also facing four other charges, including trafficking and illegal possession of a firearm, but those were dropped after he pleaded guilty to careless storage.
