Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has signed a decree allowing some law enforcement officials to carry imported guns for self-defense. The decision is unprecedented in Russia, which is proud of its arms-making traditions. Putin signed a document Jan. 31 allowing prosecutors and investigators with the prosecutor's office to use the Italian-made Beretta 92, Czech CZ 75 and Austrian Glock 17 pistols, Interfax reported Monday.
