BURLINGTON, Vermont — The investigation into the fatal shooting of a St. Michael's College Professor in his Essex home has stalled.
John Reiss, 73, was shot dead in his home by a stray bullet four months ago. But police say they're waiting for ballistic tests before deciding whether to file criminal charges.
