WOOD MOUNTAIN, Saskatchewan — An eight-year-old boy taking part in a gopher hunt, considered a right-of-passage on the Prairies, has died in southern Saskatchewan. The boy was hunting for the pesky rodents with family and friends near Wood Mountain, about 240 kilometres southwest of Regina. A member of the group accidentally shot the boy about 6 p.m. Monday, said RCMP spokesperson Sergeant Tammy Patterson. Some adults were part the group, said Sgt. Patterson. But... (GunPolicy.org)
