A woman in Irvington, N.J., was killed instantly on Saturday night when a stray bullet pierced the wall of her bedroom and struck her in the head, the authorities and relatives said. The woman, Rosetta Peacock, 30, was hit by a bullet fired from a passing car, said Paul M. Loriquet, a spokesman for the Essex County prosecutor's office.
