The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced yesterday that a total of 1,011 people have already been arrested for violating the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban. Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao Jr., in a statement, said 17 other alleged violators had been killed during encounters with police since the gun ban under Comelec Resolution 7764 was enforced in January 14 of this year.
