A retrenched PNG Defence Force soldier who was caught trying to smuggle a large quantity of live ammunitions to his village in the Western Highlands province, has been sentenced to 10 months with hard labour. Joanis Tepra, from Raimp village, Mt Hagen, pleaded guilty before the Lae District Court to the charge he had in his control 126 live rounds of 5.56 calibre bullets, 20 blank rounds of 5.56 calibre bullets, four live rounds of 7.62 calibre bullets, two live rounds...
