Gun crimes have almost halved in the past 10 years in NSW, despite high rates of shooting offences in Fairfield and Liverpool, a study has found. The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research found crimes involving guns have dropped or remained stable each year since 1997, aside from a rise in 2001.
