Kenyan Police Arrest Nine Gun-Runners, Seize Six Firearms

NAIROBI — Security personnel in bandit-prone Merille area of Marsabit District have seized nine gun-runners and six assorted firearms.
Marsabit police boss, Francis Sang, said that two G3, three AK-47 and one Mark 1V rifle were recovered when General Service Unit officers raided a village in Merrille. Sang said community policing was yielding fruit as more wananchi expose criminals in the area.
