A 32-year-old new immigrant from the U.S. was arrested on Wednesday for bringing arms into the country. On Thursday the Jerusalem Magistrates Court extended his remand by four days. The man, who immigrated to Israel in 2005 and eventually settled in Beit Shemesh, brought with him a large container with, among other things, an M-16 rifle, a sniper rifle, pistol, magazine clips, army equipment, commando knives, helmets, night vision apparatus and rappelling gear.
