The U.S. Department of Justice has posted a $1 million reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the death of Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas C. Wales, whose killing remains unsolved despite an intense six-month investigation. Attorney General John Ashcroft approved the reward and has directed the resources of a Department of Justice special prosecutor and the FBI toward solving the case.
