The Tasmanian Firearm Owners Association has attacked a magistrate's comments in a court case involving the storage of firearms and ammunition. Association president John Green said he believed magistrate Sam Mollard's comments in convicting Robert George Wilton, 38, for failing to ensure the safekeeping of firearms after his 10-year-old son took a bullet to school went well beyond what was required under Tasmanian legislation.
