A New Jersey police officer who went on a shooting rampage Tuesday night and killed five people was found dead in his car this morning, apparently from a self-inflicted gun wound, the police said. Authorities identified the police officer as Edward Lutes, a 15-year veteran of the Seaside Heights, N.J., police department who lived in Dover Township, about 30 miles south of Asbury Park, N.J.
