Criminals Armed With Police Pistols

Thousands of police-issue pistols and revolvers may have fallen into the wrong hands after being traded in as part of a deal to upgrade state and territory police handguns.
Smith & Wesson revolvers and Ruger pistols are among the weapons Australian Federal Police Commissioner Mick Keelty fears are in the hands of criminals or rogue security guards.
"When the AFP went from Smith & Wessons to Glocks we actually destroyed the Smith & Wessons," Mr Keelty said.
