In the Netherlands, official mortality figures often only include individuals who at the time of death were listed in the Municipal Personal Records Database (Basisregistratie personen, or BRP). As a result, non-residents and others not listed in the BRP at the time of death in the Netherlands could be excluded from one statistical table, but included in another.
