Artículo 139. Medidas de Seguridad

Toda persona natural que posea Armas de Fuego con licencia y municiones, debe adoptar sobre estas las medidas de seguridad y protección, siguientes:

a) Guardar las armas de fuego y municiones en caja fuerte, embalaje metálico, closet, cajas de madera u otros con cierre o cerradura, y ubicarlas en lugares que impidan estar al alcance de otras personas.
b) Las llaves de las cerraduras del lugar donde se guardan las armas de fuego y municiones se mantendrán siempre en poder del poseedor legal de las armas de fuego.
c) No apuntar a otra persona aunque el arma esté descargada.
d) No mantener proyectiles en la recámara de las armas de fuego, mientras no se haga uso de ellas.
e) El porte de las armas de fuego debe realizarse con estas guardadas en las fundas correspondientes.
f) La transportación de las armas de fuego y municiones debe realizarse descargadas y en su correspondiente estuche o embalaje.

Article 139. Security Measures

All individual in possession of firearms with a licence, and ammunition, must adopt the following security and protection measures:

a) Keep the firearms and ammunition in a safe, a metallic containerg, a closet, a wooden box or other types of boxes provided with a seal or a lock, and put them in places out of the reach of others.
b) Keys to the lock of the place where firearms and ammunition are stored shall always be under the possession and control of the legal owner of the firearms.
c) Never aim the firearm at another person, even if the firearm is unloaded.
d) Do not keep bullets inside the firearm chamber when it is not used.
e) Firearms may only be carried while kept in their corresponding holsters.
f) The transport of firearms and ammunition shall be carried out while these are unloaded, and in their corresponding case or packaging.
