Artículo 67. Requerimientos para Armas de Fuego

Las armas de fuego, accesorios y municiones objeto de regulación por el Decreto-Ley No. 262 "Sobre Armas y Municiones" y el presente Reglamento, que se vendan por las entidades comercializadoras autorizadas por el Ministerio del Interior, con destino a las personas naturales poseedoras de Licencia de Armas de Fuego y a los órganos, organismos y entidades, deben cumplir con los requerimientos siguientes:

a) Las armas de fuego deben estar identificadas con la marca y número de serie correspondiente, así como en sus partes y componentes si procede.
b) Poseer los niveles de calidad especificados por el fabricante, con el fin de garantizar la máxima seguridad y fiabilidad.
c) Presentar las especificaciones sobre la manipulación, uso, transportación y almacenamiento de estas.
d) Adoptar y registrar la marca del fabricante a fin de que estas se encuentren plenamente identificadas.
e) Se proveerá el envase o embalaje correspondiente, el que debe cumplir los requisitos que permitan su protección y seguridad.

Article 67. Firearm Requirements

Firearms, accessories and ammunition regulated by the Decree-Law No. 262 "On Firearms and Ammunition" and by the present Regulation, that are sold by commercial entities authorised by the Ministry of the Interior, and intended for individuals possessing a Firearm Licence and for agencies, institutions and entities, shall comply with the following requirements:

a) The firearms must be identified by the corresponding marking and serial number, as well as their parts and components.
b) Possess the quality levels specified by the manufacturer, so as to guarantee the maximum level of security and reliability.
c) Possess specifications on their handling, transport and storage.
d) Adopt and register the manufacturer's marking, so that they are fully identified.
e) Provide corresponding packaging, which shall comply with requirements for their protection and security.
