Marcas, contraseñas y numeración

Artículo 11 - Todas las armas de guerra que se fabriquen en el país en lo sucesivo llevarán, además de las marcas de fábrica, una numeración correlativa (número de serie) por clase de arma, colocada en las piezas más importantes (cañones, armaduras, correderas, cerrojos, almacenes, etc.). Las armas de uso civil llevarán la marca y numeración correlativa en una pieza fundamental de manera que esta última sea visible sin desmontar parte del arma.

Las armas de fuego que se introduzcan en el país deberán llevar también marca de fábrica y numeración. En su defecto se procederá de acuerdo con lo establecido por el artículo 13 de la presente reglamentación.

Artículo 12 - Los fabricantes que tengan contratos u órdenes de compra con la fuerza pública, colocarán además la contraseña propia del destinatario…

Los fabricantes de armas que produzcan, para exportar armas de guerra y que por razones contractuales deban emplear en las mismas una numeración visible, distinta a la expresada en el artículo anterior, mantendrán aquella, en las mismas piezas, pero en lugares no visibles sin desarmar el arma. La Dirección General de Fabricaciones Militares evaluará esta circunstancia y autorizará dicha doble numeración, indicando la forma y la ubicación de esa doble numeración.

Artículo 13 - Las armas de guerra que se importen o introduzcan en el país y que no posean las marcas de fábrica o numeración exigidas por el artículo 11, serán marcadas y numeradas en la forma que disponga el Registro Nacional de Armas…

Markings, Code Words and Numbers

Article 11 - All weapons of war that are manufactured in the country must carry, in addition to the manufacturing brand, a serial number by weapon type, and placed in the most important parts (barrels, frames, slides, bolts, magazines, etc.). Firearms for civil use shall be marked and numbered consecutively in a fundamental part so it is visible without having to disassemble the firearm.

Firearms that enter the country must also bear the manufacturing brand and a serial number. Failure will be processed in accordance with provisions of article 13 of this regulation.

Arms manufacturers producing weapons of war for export purposes and who, for contractual reasons, must mark on the latter a visible number, which is different from the one mentioned in the previous article, shall do that, on the same parts, but in places not visible without dismantling the firearm. The General Direction of Military Industries shall evaluate each case and authorise this double number, indicating the shape and location of where the numbers are to be placed.
