Materia de la Ley y ámbito territorial

Artículo 1 - La adquisición, uso, tenencia, portación, transmisión por cualquier título, transporte, introducción al país e importación de armas de fuego y de lanzamiento a mano o por cualquier clase de dispositivo, agresivos químicos de toda naturaleza y demás materiales que se clasifiquen como armas de guerra, pólvoras, explosivos y afines, y armas, municiones y demás materiales clasificados de uso civil, quedan sujetos en todo el territorio de la Nación a las prescripciones de la presente ley, sin más excepciones que las determinadas en el artículo 2.

Firearms Act No. 20.429 of 1973

Scope of the Act and Territorial Extent

Article 1 - The acquisition, use, possession, carrying, transmission by any means, transport, introduction into the country and import of firearms and handheld launching devices or any similar class of device, dangerous chemicals of any kind and other materials that are classified as weapons of war, gunpowder, explosives and any similar materials, and firearms, ammunition and other materials classified for civilian use, are subject to provisions of this Act. There are no exceptions other than those referred to in Article 2.
