Artículo 4. Permisos para Coleccionistas y Deportistas

A los coleccionistas y deportistas debidamente registrados, por índole de su afición o práctica deportiva, se les expedirán permisos de tenencia.

Parágrafo: Para todos los efectos legales, las armas de fabricación anterior al año 1900, no requieren permiso de tenencia ni de porte, sin embargo deberán tener credencial expedida por el Comando General de las Fuerzas Militares.

Decree No. 1809 of 1994, Firearms Regulation

Article 4. Permits for Collectors and Sportsmen

An ownership permit shall be granted to registered collectors and sportsmen, according to the nature of their collection(s) and sporting practices.

Paragraph: For all legal purposes, firearms manufactured prior to 1900 do not require either an ownership or a carrying permit. Nonetheless, they must have credentials granted by the High Command of the Armed Forces.
