Artículo 52. Limites de Importación para Municiones

El Ministerio de la Defensa Nacional autorizará la importación anual de municiones, hasta de CIEN MIL cartuchos por calibre.

Dicho limite únicamente se podrá sobrepasar en el caso establecido en el articulo anterior. Asimismo, se autoriza a la Federación Salvadoreña de Tiro la importación de municiones más allá del limite máximo establecido, siempre que se tratase de cartuchos calibre veintidós, largo o corto, de velocidad baja o estándar, para fines de entrenamiento de sus asociados y de competencias deportivas.

Article 52. Import Limits for Ammunition

The Ministry of National Defence shall authorise the annual import of ammunition up to ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND cartridges per calibre.

Such limitation may only be exceeded under circumstances outlined in the preceeding article. Further, the Salvadorian Shooting Federation shall also be authorised to carry out imports of ammunition beyond the established maximum, so long as the cartridges are of .22 calibre, short or long, of slow or standard velocity, for purposes of sporting practices and training their associates.
