Artículo 12. Actividades Reguladas

Las actividades en las que dentro de sus respectivas esferas de competencia, intervendrán el Ministerio de la Defensa Nacional a través de la Dirección de Logística y el Ministerio de Gobernación a través de la Policía Nacional Civil, son las siguientes:

a) Fabricación, importación, exportación, comercialización, tenencia y conducción, portación, colección, uso, almacenaje y transporte de armas de fuego, pólvora, municiones, explosivos, accesorios, artículos similares y recarga de municiones;

b) Funcionamiento de armerías, capacitación en el uso de armas, y polígonos de tiro con armas de fuego y similares;

c) Funcionamiento de establecimientos comerciales que vendan armas, municiones, explosivos y artículos similares;

d) Funcionamiento de entidades deportivas de tiro;

e) Las Licencias establecidas en esta ley;

f) Las Matrículas establecidas en esta ley; y,

g) Permisos especiales para el uso de armas de guerra.

Act No. 655 of 1999 on the Control and Regulation of Arms, Ammunition, Explosives and Related Materials

Article 12. Regulated Activities

Activities that are to be regulated by the Ministry of National Defence through the Logistics Directorate and the Ministry of the Interior through the National Civil Police are the following:

a) Manufacture, import, export, commerce, possession and handling, carrying, collection, use, storage and transport of firearms, gun-powder, ammunition, explosives, accessories, related materials and reloading of ammunition;

b) The functioning of armouries, training in the use of firearms, and shooting ranges for firearms and related materials;

c) The functioning of commercial establishments selling firearms, ammunition, explosives and related materials;

d) Functioning of sport shooting sites;

e) Licences established in this Act;

f) The registration certificates established in this Act; and,

g) Special permits for the use of weapons of war.
