Artículo 48 - Importación, exportación, comercialización, tránsito internacional e intermediación de armas de fuego, municiones, explosivos, accesorios y afines

Solamente el Poder Ejecutivo, a través de la autoridad competente, podrá autorizar la importación y exportación de armas de fuego, sus piezas y componentes, municiones, accesorios y afines, conforme a las prescripciones de esta Ley y su reglamentación.

Los trámites de importación y exportación sólo podrán realizarse por las oficinas de Aduana de la Capital y del Aeropuerto Internacional "Silvio Pettirossi".

Las armas de fuego, sus piezas y componentes, municiones y accesorios de uso civil podrán ser objeto de transacciones comerciales por parte de los importadores, exportadores, comerciantes, ensambladores y fabricantes inscriptos en el registro pertinente habilitado por la autoridad competente, y con las personas previamente autorizadas por esta Institución.

Queda prohibida la comercialización de armas de fuego, sus piezas y componentes, municiones, explosivos, sus accesorios y afines a turistas extranjeros o a personas en tránsito por el territorio nacional y a los menores de edad.

Queda prohibido el envío o recepción de armas de fuego, municiones y explosivos, por vía postal o correo del tipo que fuere.

Article 48 - Import, Export, Trade, International Transit and Brokering of Firearms, their Parts and Components, Ammunition, Explosives, Accessories and Similar Items

Only the Executive, through the competent authority, may authorise the import and export of firearms, their parts and components, ammunition, explosives, accessories and similar items, in accordance with the prescriptions in this Act and it regulations.

Import and export may only be carried out through the Customs office in the capital and at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport.

Firearms, their parts and components, ammunition and accessories for civilian use may be subject of commercial transactions by importers, exporters, dealers, assemblers and manufacturers, who are listed in the register operated by the competent authority, and by persons previously authorised by this institution.

The trade of firearms, their parts and components, ammunition, explosives, accessories and similar items to foreign tourists or to persons in transit is prohibited.

Sending or receiving firearms, ammunition and explosives via mail or any other form is prohibited.
