Artículo 56. Obligaciones

Las personas naturales o jurídicas poseedoras de licencia de armas de fuego, tienen las obligaciones siguientes:
a) llevar consigo la licencia, cuando porte o traslade las armas descritas en la misma y exhibirla cuando sea requerido por la autoridad competente o sus agentes;
b) informar en la Estación Municipal de la Policía Nacional Revolucionaria correspondiente, el cambio de los datos que se establezcan por el Ministerio del Interior para la actualización de la licencia expedida, en un término que no exceda de quince (15) días naturales a partir de la fe-cha en que este se haya realizado…
d) tomar en todo momento las medidas de seguridad y protección con las armas, sus accesorios y municiones para evitar su pérdida o extravío y que con ellas se produzcan daños personales, materiales, se cometan hechos delictivos o que el uso de estas constituya un riesgo, propio o ajeno;
e) transportar las armas descritas en las licencias de Tercera, Cuarta y Quinta clases, descargadas y en su correspondiente estuche o embalaje, ya sea de madera, metal, plástico, cuero, piel, lona u otros materiales que permitan su protección y seguridad;

Decree-Law No. 262 of 2008, on Arms and Ammunition

Article 56. Obligations

Natural or legal person(s) possessing a firearm licence must obey the following:
a) to have the licence present whenever carrying or transferring the arms described in the latter, and produce it whenever asked to do so by the competent authorities or their agents;
b) to inform the corresponding municipal station of the Revolutionary National Police of changes in the information asked for by the Ministry of the Interior in order to update the licence, no more than fifteen (15) days after the date on which these changes have been made…
d) to take, at all times, the necessary security and protection measures for the arms, their accessories and ammunition in order to avoid their loss or misuse, damage to persons and materials, to avoid them being used in criminal acts or that they constitute a risk to one's own self or to others;
e) to transport third, fourth and fifth class arms that are unloaded and in their corresponding case or box, whether it be wood, metal, plastic, leather, cloth or other materials that may permit their protection and security.
