Artículo 24. Otorgamiento de Tarjeta de Propiedad de Arma de Fuego

24.1 El titular de una licencia de uso de armas de fuego puede ser propietario de los tipos de armas regulados por la presente Ley. Para cada arma, la SUCAMEC otorga una tarjeta de propiedad de arma de fuego, documento que identifica a su titular, la cual no tiene caducidad mientras el propietario mantenga la propiedad del arma de fuego.

24.2 Están habilitadas para adquirir un arma de fuego las personas que cuenten previamente con la licencia de uso de armas de fuego emitidas por la SUCAMEC.

24.3 La emisión de la tarjeta de propiedad de arma de fuego está condicionada a que el solicitante mantenga las mismas condiciones bajo las cuales le fue otorgada la licencia de uso de armas de fuego, lo que es verificado permanentemente por la SUCAMEC y ratificado por el interesado mediante declaración jurada.

24.4 En caso de que se advierta la falsedad de la información declarada, la SUCAMEC informa del hecho al procurador público competente para que actúe conforme a sus atribuciones, sin perjuicio de las sanciones de carácter administrativo establecidas en la presente Ley…

Article 24. Issuing a Firearm Ownership Certificate

24.1 The owner of a licence to use firearms may own the types of firearms regulated by the present Act. For each firearm, SUCAMEC shall issue a certificate testifying to the ownership of the firearm, a document that identifies its owner and does not expire as long as the owner maintains his ownership of the firearm.

24.2 Individuals who have been granted a licence to use firearms by SUCAMEC may purchase a firearm.

24.3 The issuance of a firearm ownership certificate is conditional upon the applicant's compliance with the same requirements under which he was granted the licence in the first place, which is permanently verified by SUCAMEC and ratified by the applicant through a sworn declaration.

24.4 In a case where the reported information is false, SUCAMEC shall inform the competent public prosecutor so that he may act in accordance with his powers, notwithstanding the administrative penalties established in the present Act…
