Artículo 27. Importación de Armas de Uso Civil

La importación de armas y municiones de uso civil para las Instituciones Públicas, Paramilitares, de Seguridad Bancaria, Organizaciones de Seguridad Privada y Clubes de Tiro, Caza y Pesca, se realizará a través de los representantes o distribuidores de las empresas extranjeras o por sí mismas, previa solicitud por escrito formulada por la máxima autoridad del Organismo que las requiere y siempre que la cantidad a importarse se justifique.

Article 27. Importattion of Firearms for Civil Use

The importation of firearms and ammunition for civil use by public, paramilitary and banking security institutions, private security companies and shooting, hunting and fishing clubs, shall be carried out through representatives or distributors of foreign firms or themselves, subject to a written request by the highest authority of the requesting agency and depending on whether the quantity to be imported is justifiable.
