Artículo 4. Reformar el Artículo 27-A del Decreto No. 30-2000 de fecha 11 de Abril de 2000, contentivo de la Ley de Control de Armas de Fuego, Municiones, Explosivos y Otros Similares, reformado por adición según Decreto No. 69-2007, de fecha 31 de Mayo del año 2007, publicado en el Diano Oficial "La Gaceta" No. 31,394, el cual debe leerse de la manera siguiente:

Artículo 27 A. La Portación de Armas de Fuego

Únicamente es permitido la portación de armas de fuego por su dueño en forma visible en los espacios de propiedad privada como viviendas, negocios, talleres, haciendas, vehículos, fincas y similares; también es permitida este tipo de portación a los empleados que desarrollen labores de vigilancia y seguridad en dichos predios, previa autorización escrita del legitimo propietario del inmueble y el arma.

Únicamente es permitido movilizar el arma en calles, espacios o áreas públicas de forma no visible y en vehículos privados; en la guantera o depósitos visibles; las armas podrán llevarse en lugares accesibles al dueño, en todo caso el arma no debe ir al alcance de menores de edad que se transporten en dicho vehículo.

No es permitido el transportar armas de fuego en vehículos del transporte público ni en motocicletas; se exceptúa de esta disposición los agentes de los Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado y de las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras.

Decree No. 184-2013, Modifying the Act on the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Related Materials

Article 4. Reforming Article 27 A of the Decree No. 30-2000 of 11 April 2000, on the Act on the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Related Materials, which was reformed by the Decree No. 69-2007 of 31 May 2007, published in the Official Gazette No. 31,394. The article should be read in the following manner:

Article 27 A. Carrying Firearms

Carrying a firearm in plain view is only allowed in private properties such as houses, shops, workshops, ranches, vehicles, farms and similar places and is only allowed if carried out by its owner. Carrying a firearm in plain view is also permitted for employees who are hired for the surveillance and security of such premises, with written permission from the lawful owner of the property and of the firearm.

It is only possible to carry a firearm in streets, public places or areas in a concealed manner; and in the glove box or visible storage spaces of private vehicles. Firearms may be transported in places accessible to the owner. In any case the firearm must not be directly accessible to minors present in the vehicle.

Carrying firearms in public vehicles or in motorcycles is not allowed; officers of the state security forces and the armed forces of Honduras are exempted from this provision.
