Artículo 34. Registro Balístico

Se entiende por Registro Balístico el procedimiento de obtener en condiciones controladas la toma de muestras y digitalización de datos de las vainas vacías y balas una vez realizado el disparo, conservando las características de trazas o marcas únicas, las cuales serán utilizadas para realizar las comparaciones balísticas con muestras incriminadas o recabadas en escenarios donde se
haya cometido algún hecho punible.

Es de obligatorio cumplimiento la realización del Registro Balístico a todas las armas de fuego que se encuentren e ingresen al Territorio de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.

Article 34. Ballistic Register

Ballistic Register refers to the procedure required to obtain, in a controlled environment, the data related to bullets and their cases once shot, so as to keep a record of their tracing characteristics or unique marking, which will be used to carry out ballistic comparisons with criminal evidence in context where a punishable act may have taken place.

The Ballistic Register is a mandatory requirement for all firearms which are, or have entered, the territory of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
