Decreto N° 881, mediante el cual se dicta el Reglamento de la Ley para el Desarme y Control de Armas y Municiones

Artículo 33. Curso Básico de Manipulación, Manejo y Tiro

Toda persona que solicite por primera vez o efectúe la renovación de un permiso de porte de arma de fuego, debe anexar el certificado original de haber aprobado el Curso Básico de Manipulación, Manejo y Tiro, cuya vigencia será de dos (02) años, el cual debe ser dictado por un Instructor Registrado y Certificado por el Órgano competente en materia de armas y municiones de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana.

Dicho examen constará de dos partes:

1. Parte Teórica: Conocimientos generales sobre la Ley para el Desarme y Control de Armas y Municiones, y medidas de seguridad para el uso de armas de fuego;
2. Parte Práctica: Demostración apropiada como usar, portar, limpiar, cargar, descargar y guardar el arma de fuego.

Decree No. 881, promulgating Regulations for the Law on Disarmament and Control of Firearms and Ammunition

Article 33. Basic Training on Firearm Handling, Use and Shooting

Whoever requests a firearm permit for the first time, or the renewal of the latter, must attach to the application an original certificate showing he has passed the Basic Training on Firearm Handling, Use and Shooting, whose validity will be of two (02) years, and which will have to be issued by an Instructor Registered and Certified by the Competent Body for arms and ammunition of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

The exam shall include two parts:

1. Theoretical Part: General understanding of the Law for the Disarmament and Control of Arms and Ammunition, and security measures for the use of firearms.
2. Practical Part: An appropriate demonstration of how to use, carry, clean, load, unload and store the firearm.
