Artículo 6. Requisitos para la Autorización

Toda persona jurídica importadora, exportadora o reexportadora que aspire obtener Autorización para Importar, exportar o reexportar; Armas Municiones, Accesorios, Equipos de Control de Orden Público, materiales y accesorios para el blindaje de vehículos, chalecos, telas, materiales y sustancias afines, además de los requisitos generales exigidos en los artículos anteriores, debe cumplir con los requisitos específicos contenidos en la Solicitud de Importación, tales son:

1. Nombres y apellidos completos del Representante legal de la empresa, quien dirige su solicitud ante el órgano competente de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana para el control de armas y municiones.
2. Copia fotostática de la Cédula de Identidad.
3. Tipo y cantidad de mercancía. Las cantidades deben Indicarse en unidades de medida: kilogramos, litros, metros, según los casos.
4. Las Instrucciones de la mercancía deberán estar en idioma castellano.
5. Destino Y uso final que se le dará a la mercancía, para Jo cual se anexará certificación de destino final cuando sea requerido.
6. Firma exportadora, importadora y lugar de embarque (indicar sólo un puerto o aeropuerto).
7. Lugar de llegada (Puerto, aeropuerto y aduana del país).
8. Dirección, teléfonos, fax, dirección de correo electrónico u otros medios de comunicación de la oficina.

La tramitación para la suscripción de la Autorización de Importación, Exportación y Reexportación, deberá presentar anexa la respectiva Lista de Chequeo del expediente, realizado por la División a que corresponda, para que sea emitida la autorización por el órgano competente de la Fuerza Armada
Nacional Bolivariana para el control de armas y municiones.

Decree No. 881, promulgating Regulations for the Law on Disarmament and Control of Firearms and Ammunition

Article 6. Authorisation Requirements

Any legal person working on import, export or re-export who wishes to obtain an authorisation to import, export and re-export firearms, ammunition, accessories and hardware for the control of public order, materials and accessories for the armouring of vehicles, vests, canvas, materials and similar substances, other than the general requirements listed in the previous sections, must meet the specific requirements included in the Import Request, which are:

1. Full names and surnames of the Legal Representative of the company, who shall send the request to the competent body of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for the control of arms.
2. A photocopy of the Identity Card.
3. Type and quantity of the goods. The quantities must be indicated in measurement units such as kilograms, litres, metres, depending on the specific case.
4. The instructions for the goods shall be written in Castilian.
5. Destination and final use of the goods, for which the certification of the final destination shall be attached, when required.
6. Export and import firm, as well as place of shipment (indicate the port or airport only).
7. Place of arrival (Port, Airport or country's Customs).
8. Address, telephone, email address or other means to communicate with the company.

The application for the subscription of the Authorisation to Import, Export and Re-export must include, as an attachment, the application's checklist, realised by the corresponding Division, so as to allow the issuing of the authorisation by the competent body of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for the control of arms and ammunition.
