Artículo 16. (Estructura Del General De Armas De Fuego, Municiones y Explosivos)

I. Los registros que conforman el REGAFME, estarán interconectados a través de un sistema informático, permitiendo que la información registrada sea almacenada en tiempo real, de acuerdo a reglamentación.

II. El REACUM y el REGEM estarán bajo dependencia del Ministerio de Defensa.

III. El REACUP y el REAFUC estarán bajo dependencia del Ministerio de Gobierno, a través de la Policía Boliviana.

IV. Toda arma de fuego que se registre en el REAFUC, deberá ser presentada físicamente ante la Policía Boliviana, para los respectivos disparos de prueba y la toma de las muestras testigo, que quedarán en custodia en los archivos.

V. El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores tendrá acceso al REGEM, REACUM, REACUP y REAFUC en lo referente a las armas y municiones autorizadas a las misiones diplomáticas, organismos internacionales y delegaciones oficiales.

Article 16. (Structure of the General Registry of Firearms, Ammunition and Explosives)

I. Records belonging to REGAFME, will be interconnected via a computer system, allowing recorded information to be stored in real time, according to rules.

II. The REACUM and REGEM will be under the Ministry of Defence.

III. The REACUP and REAFUC will be under the Ministry of the Interior, through the Bolivian police.

IV. Any firearm that is registered in the REAFUC, must be physically submitted to the Bolivian Police for firing tests and so that samples may be taken. This information will remain in the archives.

V. Regarding weapons and ammunition authorised for diplomatic missions, international organisations and official delegations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have access to REGEM, REACUM, REACUP and REAFUC.
