Artículo 48. (Renovación y Caducidad)

Las licencias para uso de armas civiles, tienen vigencia de tres (3) años, pudiendo las personas particulares renovarlas, de acuerdo a reglamentación.

La no renovación de la licencia, procederá automáticamente la caducidad de la licencia y se considera como tenencia ilegal de porte o portación de armas de fuego.

Article 48. (Renewal and Expiration)

Licences for civilian use are valid for three (3) years and private persons may renew them, in accordance to regulation.

The non-renewal of firearm licences shall automatically lead to the firearm licence expiring. As a result, carrying or possessing these firearms will be regarded as illegal.
