Le registre dont la tenue est prévue par l'article 231 doit être conservé pendant un délai de vingt ans à compter de sa clôture. En cas de fermeture définitive du commerce, il doit être déposé dans un délai de trois mois soit au commissariat de police, soit à la brigade de gendarmerie de la circonscription où se trouve le fonds de commerce ; en cas de changement de propriétaire, il peut être utilisé par le successeur. Le haut-commissaire de la République en Nouvelle-Calédonie fait procéder, au moins deux fois par an, au collationnement de ce registre.

Article 24

The register, referred to in Article 23,1 must be kept for a period of twenty years starting after its closure.
